Finally, iPhone gets an external GPS module to complement its Maps application. Unfortunately, the module is not “very official” since it can only be used in jailbroken iPhones. According to PartFoundry, the software is open source and more apps are being written as we speak.

Price Increase for iPhone

It’s amazing to see how Indonesia markets “fighting up the trend”. When in US, Apple iPhone is getting a discount, here in Indonesia, due to the lack of supply, iPhone unlocked enjoys a slight price increase. About two weeks ago, consumer can still buy iPhone Unlocked for Rp 5,7 million (around US$600) and now the price hikes to Rp 6,5 million (around US$690).

I wonder how long this price-game will continue, at least before the new iPhone gets here.

Apple to unveil 3G iPhone next year

Apple will launch a 3G version of the iPhone next year that can download from the Internet at a faster rate, AT&T Inc. Chief Executive Officer Randall Stephenson said.

I think it’s a kind of obligation for Apple to launch 3G iPhone, since the W-CDMA has widely spread across the world.
