Apple will launch a 3G version of the iPhone next year that can download from the Internet at a faster rate, AT&T Inc. Chief Executive Officer Randall Stephenson said.
I think it's a kind of obligation for Apple to launch 3G iPhone, since the W-CDMA has widely spread across the world.

Rumor sparks that iPhone that will be launched in Europe is going to be equipped with 3G. Off-course, if it is true, it would be more advance than a U.S.-launched iPhone, which was only equipped with EDGE.
